About the Entry-Level Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician Role  

As an Entry-Level Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you'll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field-based role is perfect for entry-level technicians or recent tech school grads who are looking for an opportunity to launch their career and expand their skill set. In this role, you'll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and light repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. 

Geared up with your own, fully equipped company service truck and a supportive team that values your skill, drive and dedication, you'll tackle new challenges every day and take pride in delivering safe, reliable and efficient service that keeps America moving. 

Where You'll Make an Impact 

  • Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and light follow up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment
  • Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance. 
  • Put your expertise to work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right. 
  • Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times
  • Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving. 
  • Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring safety compliance. 
  • Jump in wherever needed - we're a team that supports each other. 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

  • At least 1-2 years of hands-on diesel tech experience working on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.  
  • DOT inspection and preventative maintenance expertise that keeps fleets rolling safely.  
  • Strong communication skills - you know how to connect and communicate with customers and drivers alike.  
  • Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs.  
  • Ready for the outdoors - rain or shine at customer yards. 
  • Independent, dependable, and self-motivated - you take pride in getting the job done right. 
  • A positive attitude and safety-first mindset. 
  • Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.  
  • Bring your own hand tools and we'll supply everything else. 

Work Environment 

  • Work in dynamic, high-traffic areas - safety and precision are key. 
  • Expect exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment. 
  • Safely handle chemicals, oils, and grease as part of repair work. 
  • Be ready to lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components. 
  • Stay active - you'll bend, kneel, crawl, and crouch to access vehicle components.
