Heavy Duty Diesel Specialists is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our elite team in South Louisiana. We provide top-notch maintenance and repair services for a diverse fleet of diesel-powered vehicles, and we are looking for a skilled professional to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Expertise: Conduct comprehensive on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of diesel engines, transmissions, and other critical vehicle components.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and more, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and longevity.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair complex electrical and hydraulic systems with precision and efficiency.
  • Safety First: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential safety hazards and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, explaining necessary repairs in a clear and concise manner.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and any other relevant information.
  • Adherence to Standards: Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related components.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, including but not limited to: fuel systems, emissions systems, electrical systems, and more.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Safety-Conscious: Ability to work safely in various outdoor conditions and lift heavy equipment as needed.
