Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Care for Adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities

Location: Knoxville 
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / PRN
Pay: $15.50 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

A&A Caring Hands Inc. is a licensed provider dedicated to delivering compassionate, person-centered care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We believe in  inclusion for every person we serve.

Position Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. DSPs provide direct care and support to individuals in their daily lives, ensuring safety, comfort, and opportunities for community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration (training provided).

  • Support individuals in achieving goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISP).

  • Document daily activities, behaviors, and incidents accurately.

  • Facilitate community outings, recreational activities, and social engagement.

  • Maintain a safe and clean living environment.

  • Follow all agency policies, state regulations, and Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD) guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required).

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Previous caregiving or DSP experience is a plus but not required – we provide full training.

  • Compassion, patience, and a strong work ethic.
