SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - Water Treatment (Utilities) - Phoenix / Mesa, AZ

We provide solutions and trusted guidance to municipalities, private clients, and federal, state, and local agencies. We're currently seeking a skilled and driven Senior Project Manager to join our growing Utilities Team and help tackle complex engineering challenges.


Overview:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of utility infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, performance, and client satisfaction. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and play a key role in business development and staff mentorship. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and grow a water treatment design team in a dynamic, successful engineering company.


Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design and implementation of water treatment infrastructure including groundwater treatment and surface water treatment for small systems.
    • Lead the design and implementation of water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure, including pipelines, wells, boosters, reservoirs, gravity sewer mains, lift stations, force mains, and odor control systems.
    • Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
    • Coordinate with clients, design teams, internal staff, and external resources throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provide technical guidance to engineers, EITs, and technicians.
    • Monitor project performance and ensure quality control of deliverables.
    • Set up project accounting and budget tracking systems.
    • Prepare invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely payments.
    • Conduct QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with standards.
    • Mentor junior staff and support career development.
    • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to pursue new opportunities.
    • Participate in proposal development and client interviews.
    • Assemble and manage project teams, including sub-consultants.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and strategic planning.
    • Represent Dibble at industry events and conferences.

  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to successfully negotiate acceptable contracts

Education & Experience:

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering is preferred, and 10 to 15 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years Project Management experience.
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver's license or be able to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license within 3 months of start date.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Arizona or the ability to obtain registration within six months.

LOCATION: This opportunity is in our Phoenix or Mesa office location

COMPENSATION: Salary based on level of skills and experience
