We are hiring a Dialysis Rn in Miami, FL for our client.


Position Summary

The Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care for patients with acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and end-stage renal disease (ESRD) requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. The RN is responsible for assessing patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments, monitoring treatment effectiveness, preventing complications, educating patients and families, and collaborating with nephrologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Dialysis RNs may work in outpatient dialysis centers, hospitals, or acute care settings.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatments.
  • Review physician orders and develop individualized dialysis care plans.
  • Initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments.
  • Cannulate arteriovenous (AV) fistulas and grafts and manage central venous dialysis catheters.
  • Monitor vital signs, fluid balance, electrolyte status, and patient tolerance throughout treatment.
  • Recognize and respond to dialysis-related complications, including:
  • Hypotension
  • Hypertension
  • Cardiac arrhythmias
  • Bleeding
  • Disequilibrium syndrome
  • Access complications
  • Administer prescribed medications, including:
  • Heparin
  • Erythropoietin (ESA)
  • Iron therapy
