Job Description

Thorough knowledge of mixology. Recognize and correctly make a variety of beverages, adhere to recipes and specified measured pouring portions with appropriate garnish, accurate pricing, use of proper glassware and proper wine service. Knowledge of operation and cleaning of various equipment, including but not limited to frozen beverage machine, dishwasher, ice machine, pouring gun, and other related beverage equipment.

  • Complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items and daily specials
  • Understand and meet sequence requirements for the Beverage Specialist position as well as all requirements for the Lounge Serving Team
  • Knowledgeable and ability to provide food service at the same high level as the dining room staff
  • Comply with and enforce alcohol awareness laws and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar at all times
  • Side work, cleaning, and stocking duties must be completed as assigned and also completed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner 
  • Ability to build and create craft cocktails to exact specifications and demonstrates showmanship in the creation of these beverages
  • Knowledge of garnishes
  • Ability to create complex garnishes and properly utilize these in drink presentations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to memorize and repeat back scripted dialogue
  • Ability to describe and upsell food and beverages to enhance the guest drinking and dining experience
  • Provide cash settlement of bar checks following all cash handling policies and procedures
  • Performs all relative miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor/manager
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience bartending in a high volume front bar, service bar, and/or fine dining environment
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Extensive cocktail recipe knowledge
  • Extensive wine and craft beer knowledge
  • Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications
