Job description

Epsilon C5I has a current opening for a DevSecOps Engineer 2. Epsilon C5I (www.epsilonsystems.com/c5i), a division of Epsilon Systems Solutions, is a 100 percent employee-owned company founded in 1998 with more than 20 locations serving the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security, non-profit and commercial customers. The Dayton division has recently been named as one of only five prime awardees for the 10-year, $4.7 billion NOVASTAR contract supporting the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), WPAFB, Ohio.
The candidate will apply DevSecOps principles and practices, follow an agile process model of iterative design and builds for development of product capabilities. The candidate will utilize Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) for capturing and communication required system information per NASIC guidelines and should be familiar with Free-and-Open-Source-Software (FOSS) solutions, Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions and Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) solutions used by NASIC. Candidate should understand how to develop and modify Interface Control Documents (ICDs). The candidate will be required to work with other elements to include Government analysts, contractors from other companies, and external organizations in support of integrated production activities. Candidates must be able to work independently and have effective oral and written communication skills. Successful candidates will have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Job Duties:
  • Responsibilities include data processing, analysis, algorithm enhancements, and the development of highly advanced technical technologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Investigate signal processing artifacts and anomalies and develop technically sound mitigation strategies.
  • Support the resolution of highly complex, technical problems and provide advice and recommendations.
  • Provide input to analysis reports, briefings, in-depth analysis reports, quick response taskings, and compendium updates.
  • Produce reports on algorithm development/enhancement, tools, and data sources.
  • Analyze data in the application of remote sensing technology to solve intelligence issues.
  • Prepare and present briefings and update internal report tracking metrics for analysis.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
  • May require technical leadership and directing the work of other staff members.

Required Qualifications:
  • At a minimum, bachelor's degree in engineering, science or mathematics, or similar STEM discipline.
  • 5 or more years of engineering experience.
  • Applicant must have an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance, with SCI eligibility.
  • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
  • Proficient in one or more of the following: Bash, Git, Helm, Istio, Kubernetes, Linux, or Python.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in AWS, Kubernetes, CCSP, CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker, Security+.

  • Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
  • Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, and walk.
