Job Description

As a Senior Architect Engineering Platforms and domain expert, drives functional performance by designing and implementing enterprise engineering platform solutions that enable secure, scalable, and efficient software delivery. Responsible for defining and evolving DevSecOps capabilities and architecture across source control, CI/CD, artifact management, cloud platforms, and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub, AWS, JFrog, Claude Code, Open Code). 

Accountable for aligning engineering platforms with Enterprise Architecture and ensuring integration across technology domains. Acts at group, department, and cross-functional levels to establish standards, drive adoption, and improve developer experience, delivery velocity, and security posture. 

Collaborates closely with Engineering, Product Management, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure platform capabilities align to product roadmaps, business priorities, and long-term enterprise strategy. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and drives engineering platforms and DevSecOps strategy in alignment with enterprise architecture, product roadmaps, and business objectives. 

  • Collaborates with Product Management, engineering, and security stakeholders to align platform capabilities with product needs, ensuring seamless integration into development workflows. 

  • Leads the design and governance of end-to-end DevSecOps architecture, integrating GitHub, AWS, JFrog, security tooling, and AI-assisted development platforms. 

  • Defines and enforces standards for CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, software supply chain security, and cloud engineering practices. 

  • Ensures the quality and effectiveness of major platform initiatives through sound architectural design, early risk identification, and implementation of mitigation strategies. 

  • Advances technical expertise by mentoring engineers and architects, promoting the adoption of modern engineering practices and platform capabilities. 

  • Sources and evaluates emerging technologies in DevSecOps, cloud platforms, and AI-assisted development, integrating relevant advancements into enterprise strategy. 

  • Applies innovation by designing and implementing scalable platform solutions that improve developer productivity, software quality, and security outcomes. 

  • Shapes and manages relationships with vendors (e.g., GitHub, AWS, JFrog) and external partners to align capabilities with enterprise needs and drive value. 

  • Ensures adherence to corporate standards, including security, compliance (e.g., GxP), and data protection requirements. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 9 years' experience; Master's Degree with 8 years' experience; PhD with 4 years' experience.
  • Experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or DevSecOps in enterprise environments. 
  • Deep expertise in engineering platforms and tooling, including GitHub, AWS, JFrog, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code. 
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including secure software supply chain, vulnerability management, and policy-driven controls. 
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Open Code) and their application in engineering workflows. 
  • Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-scale platform architectures and drive cross-functional adoption. 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product Management to align platform capabilities with product strategy and delivery needs. 
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work effectively across diverse teams and senior stakeholders. 
  • Proven track record of improving engineering delivery outcomes, developer productivity, and security posture.
