Are you passionate about transforming software delivery through cutting-edge DevOps tools and innovative processes? We're looking for a DevOps Engineer with a Full Scope Poly who is eager to collaborate closely with software and data engineering teams to streamline deployments and enhance stability and speed. This role is perfect for someone enthusiastic about creating solutions and automating processes in diverse environments.
You'll be responsible for operating and supporting a comprehensive suite of enterprise DevOps services, continuously improving automation pipelines, and advocating for best practices and standards across the organization. Your ability to facilitate effective communication among stakeholders and support project teams transitioning to DevOps environments will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Chief Engineer and technical teams to embed DevOps principles and automation, driving performance improvements and risk reduction.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code, enabling precise control over software environments and streamlined version releases.
  • Containerize Java and Python applications, optimizing them for Kubernetes to ensure high availability and efficient scaling.
  • Apply AWS best practices strategically to minimize computing costs through autoscaling and intelligent resource scheduling.
  • Work alongside developers throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring solutions are tailored for seamless production deployments.
  • Automate deployments and manage version control effectively to achieve zero downtime.
  • Embed robust security practices within deployments, utilizing scanning tools and compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with the Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to integrate advanced security tools into the build pipeline.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in line with Agile methodologies.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment, continually seeking innovation and process enhancements.

*This position is designed to be flexible, with responsibilities evolving to meet business needs and enable individual growth.
Required Skills:
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly required.
  • 4-7 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm Charts.
  • Proven expertise with containerization tools (Docker, Podman).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services including EKS, Lambdas, EMR, ECR, and VPC.
  • Experience building and managing infrastructure with Terraform.

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with Terraform and Packer, specifically around AWS AMIs and automated configurations.
  • Exposure to Database ORM tools such as Flyway.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline automation tools (Git, Jenkins, Automated Testing).
  • Background in cloud infrastructure and environment engineering.
  • Experience implementing DevOps methodologies in secure, regulated environments.
