Job Summary:
OVA.Work is looking for a Release Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee software releases across multiple environments. The role ensures smooth deployment, minimal disruption, and alignment between development, QA, and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
• Define release scope, schedule, and timelines
• Coordinate with Development, QA, DevOps, and Product teams
• Manage release calendars and deployment plans
• Oversee application deployments across environments (QA, UAT, Production)
• Ensure proper version control and release packaging
• Monitor release progress and resolve issues during deployment
• Identify risks and dependencies in release cycles
• Manage rollback plans and contingency strategies
• Track and resolve release-related defects and blockers
• Communicate release status to stakeholders
• Provide release notes and documentation
• Conduct release readiness reviews and post-release reports
• Improve release processes and automation
• Ensure compliance with release standards and governance
• Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD pipeline enhancements
Qualifications:
Required:
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps)
• Understanding of deployment processes and environments
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN)
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Problem-solving and risk management
• Ability to handle multiple releases simultaneously
• 3–8 years of experience in Release Management / DevOps / QA
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience in release or project management tools (Jira, ServiceNow)
• ITIL certification
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Docker
• Kubernetes
