We have an opportunity for a Project Manager/Sr. Civil Engineer with land development experience to lead projects for clients in the public and private sectors. The position could be based our Wilkes-Barre, Olyphant, Hazleton offices.


Because our employees are usually involved in several projects at one time, involving numerous team members (such as project manager, engineer, and CAD technician/designer), exceptional communications skills and the ability to work well with others is essential.


Our ideal candidate will be a Professional (Civil) Engineer with at least five years' experience in the design and management of land development projects. They should have experience in a project management role including building and maintaining client relations and working with a team to successfully complete land development projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Design of subdivisions and land development
  • Zoning and approvals process
  • Stormwater management
  • Site design, grading, and erosion and sediment control plans
  • Site utilities
  • PennDOT/DEP permitting
  • Hydraulic calculations
  • Cost estimating
  • Preparing project proposals and managing contracts, reports, and invoicing
  • Hiring/mentoring/managing junior engineers and designers

Requirements

  • B.S. Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Prior land development experience required
  • Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills
  • Prior project and client management experience
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Valid driver's license - for travel to client sites/meetings
  • Ability to attend evening meetings
  • Ability to obtain clearances (for PA school projects)
