Sr Project Manager (Application Migration/Modernization)

Location: 100% Remote

We are seeking a highly driven Sr. Project Manager to lead a critical Application Workstream within a large-scale enterprise test environment modernization initiative.

This program is focused on transforming legacy, highly manual test environments into scalable, automated Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) platforms that improve application delivery, testing efficiency, and operational stability.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in complex environments, enjoys working across technical teams, and can drive execution through influence, communication, and strong project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project management activities for the Application Workstream.
  • Partner with application owners, architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and planning meetings.
  • Identify application dependencies, migration requirements, and risks.
  • Translate technical and business requirements into actionable project plans.
  • Coordinate migration readiness activities across multiple application teams.
  • Drive execution of milestones, deliverables, and project objectives.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation processes.
  • Coordinate efforts across application, infrastructure, and engineering teams.
  • Track work, dependencies, and deliverables within Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools.
  • Support roadmap planning and alignment with Agile delivery schedules.
  • Provide stakeholder communications, reporting, and leadership updates.
  • Ensure successful onboarding of applications into newly developed test environments.

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Experience leading:
    • Application modernization initiatives
    • Cloud migration projects
    • Platform transformation efforts
    • Infrastructure transformation programs
    • Enterprise application migration projects
  • Understanding of SDLC and application architecture principles.
  • Experience within highly regulated industries such as financial services.
  • Experience working closely with software development and infrastructure teams.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
