About the Position

ATS Traffic is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Estimating and Project Management team!

This position is accountable for supporting the growth of the E&PM team’s turnkey installation business across key locations in Canada. The role is primarily responsible for managing and coordinating installation projects from bid through execution, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This includes planning resources, overseeing project performance, submitting progress billing, and maintaining strong communication with internal teams and clients. The position also supports the preparation of competitive and accurate estimates for installation opportunities to enable successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation and submission of accurate, competitive bids aligned with project scope and risk.
  • Manage project billing and invoicing, including their timely preparation and submission in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Lead and participate in project kickoff meetings and site meetings, representing ATS with professionalism and clarity.
  • Proactively manage project budgets, monitor costs, and implement controls to ensure delivery within approved financial targets.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including material tracking, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
  • Facilitate internal kickoff meetings with Installation teams to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and execution strategy.
  • Act as the primary liaison between owners, contractors, and internal installation teams to ensure clear communication around schedule, issue resolution and resource planning.
  • Manage subcontractor scope, performance, and costs to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve project risks, obstacles, and contractual challenges in a timely and collaborative manner.
  • Prepare, review, and submit all required project documentation, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide mentorship and support to Project Coordinators and Co-op Students to enhance team capability and performance.
  • Apply PMBOK principles, tools, and best practices to effectively plan, execute, monitor, and close projects
Qualifications
  • Civil, Mechanical or Construction Engineering Degree, related Technical degree or equivalent experience in roadbuilding and heavy construction.
  • Must have at least 5 years experience in related fields such as construction of road signs, guardrail, cable barrier or overhead sign structures - including design, foundation and installation.
  • Must have prior experience as a project coordinator or project manager in roadbuilding, heavy construction or related construction areas.
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Able to work under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Flexibility to travel.
  • Team player with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be resourceful, initiative and thinks outside the box.
  • Ability to resolve project issues and conflicts.
  • Ability to successfully perform tasks with very minimal supervision.
