Job Description

The Nexthink Systems Engineer creates and integrates solutions and services. The Nexthink Systems Engineer directs or recommends enhancements for system performance, reliability, scalability, and capacity. Leads the configuration of hardware and software solutions. Evaluates product and service solutions. Leads and develops multi-platform converged enterprise standards. Models and provides solutions targeted to meet existing, enhanced, and new platform solutions for business, customer, and infrastructure services. Subject matter expert in multiple hardware and software platforms. Leads advanced knowledge sharing and recommendations for system hardware/software solutions, telecommunication protocols, configurations, security, network protocols, and services. They develop new solutions and integrated service offerings to meet large-scale or enterprise projects or service requirements. Provides senior technical leadership representing various hardware platforms and software configurations in cross-functional team. Troubleshoots, resolves, and recommends improvement for systems, network, and security problems at an advanced level across multiple/converged technology solutions, services, and platforms. Creates, directs, and leads technical team efforts for performance improvement, expansion, and procedures across multiple/converged services and platforms. Works effectively with all technical disciplines and senior management. Authors and provides input for multiple and converged systems and services, system documentation, procedures, and processes. Coordinates the maintenance and modification of systems. For multiple and converged systems and services will lead or provide guidance for advanced technical support. Develops and performs capacity and resource planning to optimize and expand existing network systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience within a total information technology (IT) environment
    5+ years of experience with the design, development and support of technology infrastructure

Responsibilities:

Platform Engineering & Operations

  • Engineer, operate, and continuously enhance the Nexthink platform, including collectors, engines, dashboards, campaigns, alerts, and roles

  • Ensure platform stability, performance, data accuracy, privacy, and security configurations

  • Manage platform access, RBAC, and governance in alignment with enterprise standards

Automation & Remote Actions

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Nexthink Remote Actions for proactive and reactive remediation (Windows and macOS)

  • Automate common end-user issues such as reboots, application health, configuration drift, and compliance workflows

  • Integrate Nexthink automations with ServiceNow, self-service portals, and service desk tooling to reduce manual effort and ticket volume

Monitoring, Analytics & Dashboards

  • Build and maintain dashboards and Investigations to monitor device health, application experience, network quality, and user sentiment

  • Use Nexthink Query Language (NQL) to analyze trends, identify root causes, and surface automation opportunities

  • Partner with stakeholders to translate telemetry into actionable insights and executive-ready reporting

Campaigns, Engagement & Digital Adoption

  • Design and manage Nexthink Campaigns to gather employee feedback, guide remediation, and drive digital adoption

  • Enable targeted, role-based campaigns to support change initiatives, incident mitigation, and experience improvements

Continuous Improvement & DEX Strategy

  • Identify recurring issues, high-volume incidents, and experience gaps suitable for automation or remediation

  • Partner with product, engineering, and MSP teams to evolve the DEX roadmap and maturity

  • Contribute to platform standards, documentation, code repositories, and operational playbooks

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with the Nexthink platform, including

  • Remote Actions

  • Dashboards & Investigations

  • Campaigns & Alerts

  • Application Experience & Software Metering

  • Strong scripting experience:

  • PowerShell (Windows)

  • Bash or Shell (macOS preferred)

  • Experience with endpoint environments (Windows, macOS, VDI)

  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) and automation integrations

Analytical & Operational Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and system-thinking skills

  • Ability to analyze large datasets and convert insights into automation or remediation

  • Experience working in enterprise-scale environments (10K+ endpoints)

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
