Data Operations Engineer
Remote
12+ contract to hire.
Unable to sponsor now or later.
The Data Operations team enables seamless data usage across the company by building scalable, high-quality data models and infrastructure. This role focuses on migrating dbt models from Redshift and Snowflake to Trino (Iceberg) while ensuring performance, compatibility, and best practices.
You'll refactor and optimize SQL and dbt models, manage version control with Git, and partner with engineering and analytics teams to execute smooth migrations. You'll also support Tableau assets, validate migration impacts with stakeholders, and collaborate closely in an agile, fast-moving environment.
Requirements
2+ years in data engineering, BI, or analytics
Strong SQL across Redshift, Snowflake, and Trino/Iceberg
Hands-on experience with dbt and modern data modeling
Git-based version control experience
Familiarity with Tableau and data source modeling
Startup, SaaS, or financial services experience is a plus
