Job Description

Title : DevOps engineer
Location : Miami, FL
Duration : Fulltime position

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for the design, implementation and support of large scale infrastructure across multiple AWS AZ and Regions.

Participates in the design and implementation phases for new and/or existing products, with a focus on providing the technical expertise for successful execution.

  • Hands-on involvement in building deployment and testing pipelines, automated provisioning of cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure support services.
  • Works closely with the development and infrastructure teams to analyze and design solutions with four nines (99.99%) up-time, globally distributed, clustered, supporting database replication, disaster recovery, data resiliency, real time data streaming and mining.
  • Creates Cloud Formation templates to automate the provisioning and rollout of solutions.
  • Ability to code and script (AWS CLI scripts, Unix shell scripts, Python, PowerShell, Perl, Ruby) to automate the provisioning and maintenance of systems in a geographically distributed environment.
  • Actively monitor and administer the applications hosted on the cloud and builds integrations between CloudWatch, SNS and Splunk to trigger instant alerts, reports and dashboards.
  • Design and build a continuous integration solution using Chef, Puppet, Ansible or similar tool.
  • Work in an agile development environment, collaborating with Application Development and Architecture teams.
  • Design and implement proactive monitoring to ensure health, performance and security of our production and non-production virtualized infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have:

  • BS/BA Computer Science, Engineering or Math.
  • You have an unstoppable drive and desire to automate everything.
  • Experience working with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible or equivalent.
  • Strong Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
  • A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols.
  • Expert in High Availability Solution.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
  • Need to know how to manage global scale solutions deployed across the globe.
  • Solid experience with systems and IT operations.
  • Experience with container technology.
  • Experience with Atlassian Bamboo and/or Jenkins.
  • Willingness to research and learn new technologies.
  • AWS Certification is definitely a Plus.
  • Teamwork is a must.
