Job Description:

At a high level, the resource will maintain the current VMware Workspace One (AirWatch) infrastructure while working on and helping with the strategic planning and execution of a future migration to Microsoft Intune alongside the Endpoint Engineering Team. The ideal resource with deep expertise in AirWatch, a strong understanding of mobile security and compliance, and a passion for modernizing endpoint management through cloud-native solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of hands-on experience with VMware Workspace ONE / AirWatch administration.
  • 2 years of combined experience using Air Watch MDM software, mobile OS platforms, and enterprise mobility architecture
  • 2 years of experience with cellular activations on Vendor portals such as Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile.
  • 1 year of combined experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure AD, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Intune deployment or migration projects.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MD-102, SC-300, or AZ-104).
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and conditional access policies.
  • Experience integrating MDM with identity and access management solutions.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools.

Sample Tasks and Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the existing AirWatch MDM platform, including device enrollment, policy configuration, application deployment, and compliance monitoring for iPhones, iPads and Android devices.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for mobile device issues across iOS, Android, and Windows platforms.
  • Maintain Verizon, AT&T and other Vendor Support Portals for cellular devices
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure mobile device policies align with organizational standards.
  • Monitor system performance, generate reports, and implement required improvements to enhance user experience and security posture.
  • Work on the assessment, planning, and phased migration from AirWatch to Microsoft Intune, including stakeholder engagement, pilot testing, and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Keep the Met Council leadership updated and current with industry trends and best practices in endpoint management and mobile security.
  • Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
