Job description

PCCC is seeking qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach daytime Developmental English courses in the Fall 2025. Courses are available in the 12-week semester meeting twice or three times a week. Accelerated Academic English Courses will be available in the 6-week semester meeting four times a week throughout the semester.

Examples of Duties

  • Teach assigned classes in accordance with the College's academic calendar and approved syllabi.
  • Meet all scheduled class sessions.
  • Maintain and report accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems.
  • Participate in assessment activities in support of the PCCC institutional effectiveness program.
  • Attend professional development activities as needed
  • Utilize the appropriate technology, including the College's student learning platform, to fulfill teaching duties.

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in education, English or related field
  • Teaching experience is required; Community college teaching experience is preferred.
  • Experience with diverse populations preferred.
  • Experience teaching with a Learning Management system (LMS) such as Blackboard is preferred but not required.

Compensation: The pay for this position is $996 per credit taught.
