Job description

Job Opportunity: Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician

Our organization is currently in search of a full-time Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to join our team. We are looking for a passionate and driven physician who is eager to work with a diverse, urban population that is often underserved, all within a vibrant and supportive academic environment.

The Department of Pediatrics, along with its Ambulatory Pediatrics division, is among the busiest within our network, serving over 10,000 individual patients annually. Additionally, we act as a referral center for developmental pediatrics within our community of pediatric practitioners. Our facility is conveniently located and accessible via public transportation and car from various regions, including New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care and education in developmental behavioral pediatrics for children and adolescents.
  • Address various clinical needs, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and intellectual disabilities.
  • Deliver care in an outpatient setting, engaging with a diverse patient demographic, including underserved and immigrant families.
  • Supervise and mentor medical students and residents, offering didactic teaching and guest lectures.
  • Participate in research, curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and enhance clinical research skills.
Qualifications
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) pediatrician with experience in inpatient pediatrics or as a pediatric hospitalist.
  • A valid New York State medical license and DEA registration are required.
  • A strong educational background and a commitment to ongoing professional development and medical education.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a faculty appointment at our affiliated medical school, aligned with the candidate's credentials, experience, and qualifications. The salary range for this role is between $180,000 and $185,000, in addition to benefits and faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
