Restore Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Springfield, Illinois. In this full-time role, you will play a critical part in delivering personalized care and rehabilitation services to enhance the physical health and well-being of our patients.

Work Environment

This position is offered onsite, within a home care setting, allowing therapists to provide treatment in the most comfortable environment for our patients. You will interact directly with patients in their homes, which fosters a personal connection and enables you to tailor therapy based on each individual's living conditions. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility occasionally required to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions and collaborate with the team to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall functional ability.
  • Guide patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises and activities, ensuring they understand the purpose and techniques to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Educate patients and their families about body mechanics and home exercise programs that promote ongoing recovery outside of therapy sessions.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, heat/cold therapy, and electrical stimulation under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor, document, and analyze patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Prepare treatment environments, ensuring that equipment and necessary supplies are organized and ready for each session.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists—to enhance patient care and treatment efficacy.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement, creating an atmosphere that fosters recovery and motivation among patients.
  • Commit to ethical practices and patient confidentiality in all interactions and documentation.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgeries, athletes managing injuries, seniors coping with age-related challenges, and children in need of specialized care. Your role is vital in helping these patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Illinois.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
