Position Requirements
Personal care aides, also known as caregivers, personal attendants, homemakers, or Personal Care Assitants, provide support with the daily tasks of elderly (referred to as members). Aides might work at member homes, residential care or senior centers. They might visit several members a day or be assigned to one specific member. Schedules can vary, but most personal care aides are rarely expected to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Personal care aides work mostly with the elderly who need help with daily tasks and chores, working in places such as residential care facilities and member homes. Personal care aides generally are responsible for light cleaning, cooking, running errands, and doing laundry, as well as assisting members with bathing, showering, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years.
  • High school degree/GED.
  • Should be cleared of any convicted crime, including felonies, misdemeanors and summary offenses. If not, must have been annulled, expunged or sealed by a court of law.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proof of current TB skin test.
