Job Title: Development Mechanic/Technician

Position Summary:
The Development Mechanic/Technician is responsible for supporting the build, integration, and development of prototype and pre-production vehicles, as well as advanced mechanical systems. This role operates at the intersection of engineering and hands-on execution, ensuring that evolving designs are accurately translated into functional vehicle builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support full vehicle builds, including prototype and pre-production units
- Install, modify, and troubleshoot vehicle subsystems, including powertrain, suspension, electrical, thermal, and structural components
- Interpret and execute engineering drawings, CAD releases, and build documentation
- Collaborate closely with engineering and program teams to support system integration and development objectives
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues during the build and test phases
- Assist in prototype fabrication and development testing activities
- Document build changes, issues, and resolutions in alignment with engineering change processes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment in compliance with company standards
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in automotive or mobility development, preferably in prototype or low-volume production environments
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Experience with prototype build processes, fabrication, and system integration
- Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving development environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
