Job Description

What You Get To Do:

The Nursing Services Manager is responsible for the Wellness Coordination program as well as supervising and managing nursing operations in a select area.  This position develops and monitors the oversight of medical policies and procedures used within Dungarvin and ensures they meet all licensing requirements. The Nursing Services Manager will assure that each individual receives quality, individualized health care management resulting in optimal health.

  • To develop, manage, and grow the Wellness  Coordination services.
  • To effectively supervise and manage the nursing staff.
  • Ensure the completion and/or review of the Wellness Assessment, Risk Mitigation Tool, and Wellness Plan for each individual receiving Wellness Coordination services.
  • Ensure face-to-face visits are occurring and documented as outlined in the DDRS Wellness Coordination Guide.
  • To provide leadership and direction in promoting the concepts set forth in the organization’s mission, policies and procedures.
  • To assure consistency and quality of health care services for people receiving Dungarvin services.
  • Act as a resource to area directors, program directors and nursing staff regarding medical issues, rules, and regulations that govern medical care in the programs.
  • To provide consultation to area directors and program directors to determine appropriate nursing services for new consumers.
  •  Assist in setting up health care systems in new programs.
  • Provide nursing oversight to individuals supported by Dungarvin.
  • Ensure that health care and related documentation meet licensure requirements, organizational policy, and individual needs
Qualifications

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license to practice nursing in the State of Indiana
  • Good communication is key in this role. You’ll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members. 
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process

Nice to have:

  • Prior nursing working with individuals with intellectual, physical, and behavioral disabilities. 
  • Supervisory experience is desired
