Job description


Job Summary:
The Project Manager, BDOADVANTAGE will be an integral team member, primarily focusing on managing technology development projects. While the Product Owner will oversee the technology product, the Manager will ensure the project's overall success from initiation to closure, by ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and a clear understanding of both waterfall and agile development methodologies, allowing for a flexible and effective approach to project delivery.
The Project Manager will coordinate with the product management team, software developers and deployment teams to create and implement project plans to assist and guide technology solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders.
Job Duties:
Project Management and Coordination
  • Leads the project planning and implementation of project plans of technology development projects within the BDOADVANTAGE portfolio
  • Works closely with the Product and Project Owners to ensure project alignment with product objectives and company goals are being met in accordance with agreed upon project plans
  • Applies project management practices across related initiatives, managing timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple projects beyond discrete technology efforts
  • Utilizes a hybrid project management approach, incorporating elements of both waterfall and agile methodologies, to effectively manage project timelines, scope, and resources
  • Reviews and analyzes project financials and budget to actual projections
  • Employs project management tools and software to track project progress, manage resources, and communicate status updates to stakeholders
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project objectives, timelines, and deliverables
  • Identifies and manages project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project success
  • Ensures project documentation is maintained and updated throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conducts post-project evaluations to capture learnings and improve future project management practices
  • Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Acts as a direct supervisor to team members, as assigned
  • Acts as a mentor, as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree, required; focus in Business, Project/Program Management, or Information Technology, preferred

Experience:
  • Six (6) years of experience serving as a project manager, project coordinator, or similar role, with a focus on technology development projects and software development lifecycle, required
  • Experience working with and mentoring distributed/remote teams, required
  • Experience working in audit, assurance or accounting professional services industry, preferred

License/Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certified, preferred
  • Scrum Master or Agile Certified Practitioner, preferred

Software:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferred
  • Proficient with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $125,000 - $155,000
Maryland Range: $125,000 - $155,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $125,000 - $155,000
