Job description

About DESRI
DESRI (formerly D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments) is a market-leading owner and operator of renewable energy projects throughout the United States. We have acquired or developed approximately 13 gigawatts of contracted capacity across a portfolio of over 85 renewable energy projects in 24 states.
At DESRI, our culture is grounded in rigorous analytics and thoughtful risk-taking, with a strong emphasis on creativity, intellectual curiosity, and continuous improvement. We operate with lean teams that prioritize efficiency and minimize unnecessary bureaucracy, enabling individuals to take ownership and move quickly. We value open, constructive dialogue and believe it leads to better outcomes. Above all, we are driven to go the extra mile and support one another, fostering a collaborative environment built on accountability, integrity, and care.
About the role
DESRI is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support members of our Leadership Team. This individual will play a key role in keeping executives organized, informed, and focused by managing complex calendars, travel, meetings, communications, and day-to-day priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
We're looking for someone who enjoys being a true partner to the leaders they support-someone who anticipates needs, exercises sound judgment, takes ownership of their work, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when needed. Successful candidates are resourceful, adaptable, and thrive in an environment where priorities shift quickly and no two days look exactly alike. In return, this role offers meaningful exposure to senior leadership, significant ownership, and the opportunity to continue growing as part of a collaborative Executive Assistant team.
What you'll do
  • Provide executive-level administrative support to members of DESRI's Leadership Team.
  • Manage complex calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and changing priorities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, including agendas, logistics, conference room scheduling, catering, and meeting materials.
  • Process expense reports and assist with invoice reconciliation.
  • Coordinate document execution, electronic signatures, notarizations, and overnight shipments.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for executives, internal business partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Assistant team to provide backup coverage and collaborate on shared priorities.
  • Support company events, executive meetings, and special projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and contribute to an exceptional executive support function.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Approximately 3-6 years of experience supporting executives or senior leaders in an Executive Assistant or comparable administrative support role.
  • Experience managing complex calendars, travel, meetings, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and build trusted relationships while supporting senior leaders.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with productivity platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Adobe Acrobat, Concur, DocuSign, or similar software preferred.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and take ownership of work.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support the broader Executive Assistant team.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fully in-office environment where priorities shift frequently and no two days are exactly alike.
  • At DESRI, we consider a wide range of factors to determine your compensation. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, location, skills, and experience. The expected annual base salary for this position is $100,000 to $125,000, depending on experience.
  • DESRI's compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus (guaranteed in the first year of hire), medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, paid time off, wellness reimbursement, family-building benefits, and a charitable gift-matching program.
