We are committed to providing care and services that enrich the lives of our residents and employees.Responsibilities of a RN Staff Development/Education Coordinator:Assess staff learning needs and develop education priorities based on clinical practice, regulatory requirements, facility needs, and staff performance.Develop and coordinate facility-wide training goals, educational programs, in-services, competencies, and monthly staff education schedules.Provide engaging education through lectures, hands-on demonstrations, role-playing, group sessions, one-on-one instruction, and unit-based training.Provide orientation, onboarding, remedial education, and just-in-time clinical training to support staff competency and safe resident care.Manage the Preceptorship Academy and support the development of preceptors and newly hired clinical staff.Coordinate and oversee BLS/CPR training, certification, renewals, annual Skills Fair activities, and required clinical competencies.Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of staff education, attendance, competencies, licenses, certifications, and required regulatory training.Coordinate employee and resident vaccination clinics, employee health-related specimen collection, and other assigned clinical education initiatives.Lead employee recognition programs, including the DAISY and TULIP Awards, while supporting staff engagement and professional development.Provide leadership, coaching, supervision, and performance guidance to departmental staff while collaborating with nursing leadership, Human Resources, quality, and other facility departments.Requirements of a RN Staff Development/Education Coordinator::Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a current Registered Nurse license issued by the Maryland Board of Nursing.CPR/BLS Instructor Certification highly preferred, or ability to attain certification.1-3 years of long-term care clinical experience highly preferred.At least 1 year of healthcare training, staff development, or clinical education or equivalent experience.Brooke Grove Retirement Village offers competitive salaries and benefits along with quality training and educational opportunities to include:Two comprehensive Medical coverage plans, as well as Dental and VisionLife InsuranceVoluntary Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance, and Cancer Indemnity InsuranceFlexible Spending Accounts403(b) Retirement PlanPaid Sick, Vacation, and Holiday TimeDirect DepositTuition ReimbursementBrooke Grove Foundation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in admissions, employment, contracting with consultants or acceptance of volunteers on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, sexual orientation, or national origin.
