THIS OPPORTUNITY

Provides senior leadership as part of the Business Transformation team within Management Consulting in Advisory Services. This position is responsible for shaping and growing client relationships, originating and selling work, leading high-quality delivery, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and advancing strategy, operations improvement, organizational change, and transformation initiatives for public- and private-sector clients. The successful candidate will bring executive presence, strong consulting discipline, and a proven ability to translate complex business challenges into practical, future-ready solutions that create measurable client value.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Lead Business Transformation and Management Consulting engagements, ensuring teams understand objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
  • Originate, sell, and deliver advisory and consulting work by developing trusted client relationships, identifying opportunities, shaping solutions, leading pursuits, and supporting revenue and growth objectives.
  • Provide executive-level strategic advice to clients; lead client presentations, workshops, interviews, and leadership meetings with confidence and credibility.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in developing high-quality deliverables, including organizational assessments, operating model recommendations, transformation roadmaps, business cases, implementation plans, governance frameworks, and executive-ready reports.
  • Support the overall long-term strategy, growth, client pipeline, and market positioning of the Business Transformation practice within Management Consulting and Advisory Services.
  • Help define and advance the vision, service offerings, methods, tools, and thought leadership for Business Transformation, ensuring alignment with Advisory Services business strategy and client priorities.
  • Lead and mentor project teams and staff, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, high-performance culture focused on quality, innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Oversee project performance, including work planning, staffing, financial management, profitability, risk management, subcontractor coordination, and successful delivery of client commitments.
  • Serve as an Advisory Services representative and liaison to clients, partner organizations, industry groups, public agencies, subcontractors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Lead and contribute to proposals, qualifications, client interviews, scopes of work, pricing strategies, and pursuit planning for Business Transformation and broader Advisory Services opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong client base for Advisory Services, including identifying additional business development opportunities, cross-selling WSP capabilities, and strengthening account relationships.
  • Remain current in management consulting, organizational strategy, change management, digital transformation, governance, program delivery, and related advisory practices.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSPโ€™s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
WHO YOU ARERequired Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, management, public administration, engineering, planning, organizational development, economics, or a closely related discipline.
  • 12+ years of relevant post-education experience in management consulting, advisory services, business transformation, organizational strategy, operations improvement, change management, program delivery, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading complex client engagements and multidisciplinary teams, including work planning, facilitation, deliverable development, quality review, financial management, and client communications.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills to effectively, persuasively, and tactfully interact with clients, executives, project teams, and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly through presentations, workshops, reports, and written recommendations.
  • Strategic lateral thinking and strong analytical skills with attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize responsibilities across multiple pursuits and engagements.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, clients, partners, and company-wide staff, including those with whom no formal hierarchical relationship exists.
  • Strong ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to meet project, client, and business needs.
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a senior consulting, practice leadership, account leadership, or client-facing advisory role.
  • Demonstrated success selling, shaping, and delivering transformation, strategy, organizational design, change management, governance, operating model, or program improvement engagements.
  • Experience working with infrastructure, transportation, public agency, utilities, capital program, or other complex asset-intensive clients.
  • Established market presence, professional network, or client relationships that support growth of Management Consulting and Advisory Services work.
  • Experience mentoring, developing, and growing consulting teams, including supporting career development and building delivery capability.
  • Familiarity with recognized change management, project management, process improvement, organizational assessment, or strategy frameworks and methods.
  • Relevant professional certification such as PMP, Prosci/CCMP, Lean Six Sigma, PE, AICP, or similar credential.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell and deliver consulting work, build trusted client relationships, develop a pipeline of opportunities, and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Graduate degree in business, public administration, engineering, planning, organizational development, economics, or a related field.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $172,800 - $255,000
