Job Description

General Function

The Associate Director ISC, New Product Development, is responsible for the industrialization and launch of new products from planning through to full-scale production. As part of the Integrated Supply Chain organization, this role acts as a key interface within the new product development core team between R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering (i.e., GIE), Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain, ensuring robust, compliant, and on-time product launches aligned with business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Product Launch & Industrialization

  • Lead end-to-end product launches and coordinate design transfer to serial production in collaboration with ISC Engineering.

  • Translate product designs into scalable, manufacturable solutions.

  • Execute industrialization strategies including capacity and equipment needs in a timely fashion to ensure timely launch and downstream program execution.

  • Own launch timing milestones, vertical start-up, risks, and deliverables, in close collaboration with ISC Manufacturing and ISC Engineering teams.

  • Manages and update COGS through the new products development phases, in collaboration with ISC Finance.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Act as the primary ISC representative, or Core Team Member, in development, qualification, and launch of new products.

  • Provides clear expectations for the different ISC groups (Procurement, GIE, Manufacturing Sites Leadership, Plant Engineering) towards new product development deliverables.

  • Design for Manufacturability - work closely with R&D to achieve cost and quality targets, provide inputs or directly develop of design specifications and operation-centric test methods, and within ISC to ensure end-to-end supply chain robustness.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with Quality, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, EHSS and Supply Chain to achieve NPD project objectives.

  • Ability to operate with ambiguity and develop strategy and tactics for New Product Development. Drives alignment between technical feasibility and business objectives.

Supply Chain & Operations Readiness

  • Assess and validate capacity, tooling, equipment, and supplier readiness.

  • Coordinate make/buy decisions in collaboration with ISC Procurement and S&T Group.

  • Support supplier selection, qualification, and industrial readiness.

  • Ensure BOM accuracy, sourcing strategy, and material availability for launch.

Risk Management & Governance

  • Identify and mitigate technical, industrial, and supply chain risks.

  • Identify and exploit opportunities to improve program cost, schedule or product performance.

  • Coordinate Process FMEA with ISC Engineering leading, risk reviews, and readiness assessments.

  • Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety requirements (e.g., ISO, GMP where applicable)

  • Prepare and present project status, risks, and decisions to leadership.

  • Lead the ISC Functional Excellence Reviews through the GPDS phases

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • BS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. Advanced degree desirable.

  • 10+ years' experience in project management, industrialization, and new product launches

  • Strong background in manufacturing and supply chain environments

  • Multiple disciplines experience preferred

  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, pharma, packaging, industrials) is a strong plus

  • Strong Lean & Six Sigma continuous improvement mindset
