ONE805 Location: Santa Barbara, CA (hybrid arrangement available) Type: Full-time Compensation: $100,000+ plus benefits, commensurate with experience About ONE805 ONE805 is a Santa Barbara County nonprofit supporting all twelve local fire and law enforcement departments through emergency grants, mental wellness programming, and equipment funding. Our organization produces a flagship annual benefit event and has built a growing endowment dedicated to first-responder mental wellness. We work with a network of high-profile partners and donors, and discretion is essential to everything we do. The Role This is a fundraising role, first and foremost. We're looking for an experienced Development Director who can bring tangible, measurable results, growing revenue through major gifts, sponsorships, and donor cultivation. You'll work closely with our CEO, and success in this role will be judged on real fundraising outcomes, not just relationship-building. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute fundraising strategy across major gifts, sponsorships, and individual donor cultivation, with clear revenue targets Partner directly with the CEO on donor relationships and strategic planning Plan and help lead smaller strategic events throughout the year Drive growth of our ongoing endowment campaign with measurable progress toward goal Build and steward relationships with high-net-worth donors and community partners with the utmost discretion, converting relationships into results Requirements Minimum 5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, metrics-driven with a proven, demonstrable track record of raising funds and hitting fundraising targets Lives in and knows Santa Barbara County Existing knowledge of sponsors and donors within Santa Barbara County Strong donor relationship and strategic planning skills, with the ability to convert relationships into tangible gifts Comfortable working core hours (approx. 8-10 hours/day) with flexibility for evening and weekend events Adaptable and able to change direction quickly as priorities shift A genuine enjoyment of events and the energy they bring Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive donor and organizational information Schedule Full-time, hybrid-friendly, with availability required for events on evenings and weekends as needed.
