Soane Britain is seeking an experienced, driven sales professional to represent the skills of our craftspeople and Soane’s mission driven business in Texas through business development and sales activities.
Based remotely in or near Houston, Dallas or Austin, you will be joining a small but experienced North American team to build meaningful, curious relationships with our clients, established and new.

Purpose of the Position:
Having built great relationships with our Texas clients over more than 25 years, we are now seeking to invest in a territory-based sales professional to deepen our knowledge about their projects and offer in-person consultations and presentations.
You will be solely responsible for growing sales of our furniture, lighting, fabrics and wallpapers as well as offering advice on commercial and bespoke projects.
You will be supported by the New York-based sampling team as well as colleagues in the UK who will manage your orders through our workshops and arrange shipping and logistics services.
Success will be measured through your reports on selling activity, from in person meetings and networking through to identifying project opportunities, quoting and raising pro-forma invoices.

Qualifications and Qualities for the Position:

  • At least 3 years in a business-to-business sales role, ideally in furniture, lighting, fabrics or wallpapers
  • Great references which will speak to your sales success, teamwork and curiosity about our industry
  • Driving licence and the ability to work from home as well as travel to the UK
  • At interview you will be able to demonstrate sales success and relevant industry contacts, high levels of self-motivation and a passion for good design made with purpose and integrity, including sustainability considerations.
