Responsibilities
As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff, you will own the software design and development for major components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. You should be both a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems and design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of software development experience with distributed systems within large-scale environments.
Proficient in Java, C, or C++ and experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl, etc.
Experience working on large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure.
Experience working in an operational environment with mission-critical tier-one livesite servicing.
Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and drive.
Experience designing architectures that demonstrate deep technical depth in one area, or span many products, to enable high availability, scalability, market-leading features and flexibility to meet future business demands.
Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations).
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrable knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems fundamentals, and cloud-native development.
Working familiarity with cloud identity, operating systems internals, networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Experience building multi-tenant, high fidelity platform services like identity, a strong plus.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $135,200 to $306,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
