Zyte

Philadelphia, PA • Remote

Job description

About Us

At Zyte, we eat data for breakfast and you can eat your breakfast anywhere and work for Zyte. Founded in 2010, we are a globally distributed team of over 260 Zytans working from over 28 countries who are on a mission to enable our customers to extract the data they need to continue to innovate and grow their businesses. We believe that all businesses deserve a smooth pathway to data.

For more than a decade, Zyte has led the way in building powerful, easy-to-use tools to collect, format, and deliver web data, quickly, dependably, and at scale. And today, the data we extract helps thousands of organizations make smarter business decisions, secure competitive advantage, and drive sustainable growth. Today, over 3,000 companies and 1 million developers rely on our tools and services to get the data they need from the web.

Build pipeline. Prove impact. Fuel growth.

At Zyte, the Head of Demand Generation owns the engine that turns marketing investment into qualified pipeline across three product motions: Zyte API (self-serve, PLG), Zyte API Enterprise (sales-led), and Zyte Data (sales-led). You'll lead demand generation programs end-to-end, working hand-in-hand with Sales, Developer Relations, and Content to make sure every campaign and channel is measured against one outcome: pipeline and revenue impact.

You'll build and lead a small, high-performing team, partnering closely with the Head of New Business, the BDR team, and the Head of Revenue Operations to align messaging and lead handoff. Reporting to the CMO, you'll bring rigor to how Zyte plans, executes, and reports on marketing's contribution to the funnel across every motion we run.

If you're a data-driven marketing leader who thinks in pipeline, not just impressions, and you're comfortable running multiple playbooks in parallel, this is your opportunity to own demand generation at a fast-growing data extraction company.

Roles & Responsibilities

Across all funnels:

  • Own the demand generation strategy across paid, organic, and email channels to drive qualified pipeline for self-serve, enterprise motions.- Zyte API and Zyte Enterprise.
  • Define, track, and report on pipeline and revenue metrics (MQLs, SQLs, pipeline generated, conversion rates, CAC, ROI) by funnel to the CMO and senior leadership.
  • Manage and forecast the demand generation budget, allocating spend to the highest-performing channels and programs per funnel.
  • Hire, coach, and develop a small team of demand gen marketers.
  • Own the marketing technology stack for demand gen (marketing automation, CRM integration, analytics tools).
  • Present regular pipeline forecasts and campaign performance reviews to senior management for business planning.

Zyte API (PLG self-serve funnel):

  • Drive trial signups and subscriber conversion through paid search (Google PPC), SEO, and AEO strategies, with deep hands-on expertise across all three.
  • Run experiments and A/B tests across campaigns to continuously improve funnel conversion.
  • Work closely with Developer Relations to align top-of-funnel content and community activity with paid and organic acquisition goals.

Enterprise funnel (Zyte API Enterprise & Zyte Data):

  • Build the marketing-to-sales handoff process, ensuring lead scoring, routing, and follow-up are tight and well documented.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to align on target segments, messaging, and lead prioritization across both enterprise products.
  • Support and help scale an ABM motion aligned to named target accounts, working with Content to build account-specific assets.
  • Run campaigns in direct support of outbound efforts from the sales team, coordinating cadence and messaging with BDRs and Account Executives.
  • Work with Content to develop the deeper, more technical materials the sales-led motion requires.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in demand generation, growth marketing, or revenue marketing, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Proven track record building and scaling demand generation programs across more than one funnel type (self-serve/PLG and enterprise), ideally including ABM.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Google PPC and SEO, with working knowledge of or demonstrated interest in AEO — these are core levers in this role.
  • Strong command of pipeline and funnel metrics, and the ability to tie marketing activity directly to revenue outcomes, by funnel.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales/BDR teams on messaging, lead handoff, ABM, and outbound support.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Developer Relations and Content teams, not just Sales.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, and comfort working inside a CRM.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and forecast a demand generation budget across multiple motions.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • High level of analytical rigor, with the ability to turn campaign data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Previous experience in a SaaS / PaaS company, specifically supporting sales to Enterprise accounts, is a plus.
  • Understanding of data harvesting / web crawling a plus — but not necessary.
  • Creativity and initiative combined with strong commercial awareness.

Benefits

  • Become part of a self-motivated, progressive, multi-cultural team.
  • Have the freedom & flexibility to work remotely.
  • Get the chance to work with cutting-edge open source technologies and tools.
