Job description

Description:

This is a professional leadership position responsible for overseeing process/plant engineering operations, ensuring optimal performance of plant facilities and equipment while managing resources and the process engineering staff effectively.

  • Execute the CapEx and Mid-term Capital Expenditure Plans.
  • Assign responsibilities, create timelines and schedule for major projects; monitor project progress and ensure timelines and budgets are met.
  • Manage the process and automation engineering departments.
  • Assign engineers to manage outside contractor work for CapEx projects.
  • Assist and support in the development of new processes and equipment, and documentation of maintenance procedures for the equipment.
  • Understand the technical details of Yuasaโ€™s processes and communicate with employees in cross-functional departments.
  • Propose projects that promote opportunities to improve the accuracy and reliability of existing equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality and Product Engineering departments on scrap improvement projects aimed at meeting company targets.
  • Support manufacturing and maintenance department when required on major breakdowns of equipment.
  • Create a working environment that puts a priority on safety.


Requirements:
  • Advanced analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines.
  • Strong organization and priority setting skills a must.
  • Proven experience with managing a team.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering plus 8-10 yearsโ€™ experience in similar position required.
  • Project Management certification, or 5 yearsโ€™ experience managing Capital projects >$200,000 required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Able to work in a changing environment; must be able to promote suggestions to assist in the creation of an efficient workflow.
  • Accountability for performance.
  • Written and oral communication proficiency.
