Our Opportunity
Chewy is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join our Corporate Systems organization! This role will help build, enhance, and support enterprise workflow solutions and intelligent automation capabilities across HR, Finance, Operations, and Enterprise Services. You will work closely with developers, architects, product owners, and business partners to extend and modernize the ServiceNow platform through scalable applications, integrations, workflows, and user experiences.
The ideal candidate is passionate about platform engineering, workflow automation, and building maintainable enterprise solutions using modern ServiceNow capabilities and standard processes.
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, configure, and support scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform
  • Build and maintain workflows, reusable actions, and subflows using Flow Designer
  • Develop custom scoped applications and enhance existing ServiceNow applications using out-of-the-box capabilities where possible
  • Configure and support modules including ITSM, HRSD, and custom enterprise applications
  • Build integrations using REST APIs, Integration Hub connectors, and other platform integration capabilities
  • Develop and maintain user experiences using Service Portal and/or UI Builder technologies
  • Support platform administration activities including deployments, update set management, source control, testing, and release processes
  • Resolve platform issues using system logs, debugging techniques, and scripting
  • Contribute to platform governance, development standards, guidelines, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with architects, product owners, and multi-functional collaborators to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Support Agile delivery processes and participate in sprint planning, testing, and production support activities

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of overall IT experience in software development, enterprise applications, platform engineering, system administration, or related technical roles
  • 2+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including scripting, platform configuration, customization, and deployment
  • Experience developing custom scoped applications and extending existing ServiceNow applications
  • Experience with web technologies including JavaScript, XML, HTML, Service Portal, UI Builder, and RESTful APIs
  • Solid understanding of ServiceNow data models, relationships, ACLs, and role-based security concepts
  • Experience with Flow Designer, workflow configuration, Integration Hub, and platform automation capabilities.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow SDLC practices including update set management, testing, deployment, and source control processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot platform issues and debug applications using standard ServiceNow tools and techniques
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment and collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies and platform capabilities
