Job description

Program Logistics Directors directly supervise and effectively coordinate all staff drivers, supply runs and transportation needs of camp including regular programming, medical needs and days off. Program Logistics Directors provide a safe and nurturing environment for campers and staff and are actively involved with a positive attitude about all camp activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Actively participate in and lead portions of Administrative Staff Training and All Staff Training related to transportation and driving
  • Communicate any camper or staff concerns to the Behavioral Support Specialist and/or Camp Director in a timely manner
  • Ensure driver staff follow all rules and fulfill assigned responsibilities
  • Address and document situations that may compromise the emotional or physical safety of any individual
  • Identify, document, and coordinate repair of vehicle issues or maintenance needs
  • Ensure all camp vehicles are clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • Oversee all transportation operations, including staff transportation, scheduling, and logistics for overnight camp and BOLD/GOLD programs
  • Coordinate procurement of program and maintenance supplies and support camp directors with daily operations
  • Schedule and manage staff driving assignments
  • Participate in Administrator On Duty responsibilities and provide unit coverage as assigned
  • Model and teach the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility to campers and staff
  • Enforce all camp rules and regulations consistently
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with parents, visitors, and the community
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork, including end-of-year reports, on time
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
