Sterling Crane has an exciting opportunity for a Crane Operator (Journeyperson/Red Seal or 3rd Year Apprentice) based in our Prince George, BC branch.

JOB TYPE: Straight-time hourly position, unionized.

LOCATION: Sites of business operation as required, branch located at 9157 Rock Island Road, Prince George, BC (on-site).

Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)

  • Assisting crane operators in assembly, disassembly and transport of cranes.

  • Rigging of equipment.

  • Assist mechanic with the maintenance of cranes and general duties in the shop and yard.

  • Delivery of equipment and rigging as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3rd year apprentice or Journeyperson certificate.

  • Class 1A driver's license is required.

  • The successful candidate must demonstrate safe work practices, follow company policies and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

  • The successful candidate will be required to be in good standing with IUOE 115 or become members of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 115.
