Company Overview:

Onsite Engineering is a mid-sized consulting engineering and geoscience company with multiple offices across BC. We are a diverse company that provides high quality engineering and geoscience services to government and industry. Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Northern Interior Manager, the successful Civil or Survey Engineering Technologist will be involved in resource and municipal engineering projects and will possess a strong background working with a motivated and dynamic team of professionals. Successful applicants will participate in the provision of engineering services from proposal stage through planning, design, construction and commissioning of projects. Fieldwork is an integral part of this position and applicants must demonstrate an ability to work in and efficiently traverse adverse environments.


Major Job Functions:

  • Preparing engineering drawings
  • Coordinating project drawings and reports
  • Surveying (total station and GPS)
  • Construction Layout
  • Site and construction inspections
  • Project management and contract administration


Specific Skills and Knowledge:

  • Flexibility, organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, work accuracy/numeracy and quality orientated
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business

Education and Experience:

  • Diploma in Civil or Survey Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
  • Eligibility for registration with ASTTBC as a CTech or AScT is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a design or project management role.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD or other drafting software

Salary:

$60,000-$90,000 annually commensurate on experience, full-time permanent position. The lower portion of the range reflects entrylevel Civil or Survey Engineering Technologist responsibilities. The upper portion of the range applies to candidates demonstrating increased experience, expanded responsibilities, or progression toward an Experienced Civil or Survey Engineering Technologist Position.
