Dev10 information

What is a dev10?

A Dev10 job refers to a role within the Dev10 program by Genesis10, which is a technology training and hiring program. It provides recent college graduates or career changers with intensive training in software development or data engineering, followed by placement with a client company as a full-time consultant. Participants gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and a pathway to launch a career in technology without requiring prior technical experience.

What types of projects and technologies do dev10 associates typically work with?

Dev10 associates usually participate in entry-level software development projects, often working with languages such as Java, C#, or Python alongside databases and web development frameworks. Assignments can include tasks like designing user interfaces, writing code, testing software, and collaborating on agile teams. Training programs supply ongoing mentorship and upskilling opportunities, tailored to client and industry needs. This exposure helps associates quickly build a versatile technical toolkit and gain experience working in professional development environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the dev10 position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Dev10, strong analytical thinking, foundational programming skills, and a degree in a STEM or related field are typically required. Experience with languages like Java or C#, familiarity with software development tools, and participation in structured training programs are valuable assets. Excellent communication, eagerness to learn, and effective teamwork distinguish top performers in this role. These abilities ensure successful onboarding, rapid skill development, and meaningful contributions to software projects.
