Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in adult psychiatric care.
The unit consists of 30 beds catering to adults aged 18 to 65 years.
Patients will have a diverse range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder.
There will also be patients with dual diagnoses requiring detoxification while addressing mental health issues, along with some medically acute patients.
The clinician-to-patient ratio is 1 RN to 7 or 8 patients.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation is required.
Floating to other units may be necessary.
Shifts will rotate between days, evenings, and nights.
Knowledge of relevant mental health laws and regulations is essential.
Training in AVADE and lead EKG will be provided on-site.
