Job description

Psych Rn Needed For Danvers Ma Detox Unit

Contract guarantee hours= 72 hours biweekly on all assignments โ€“ these guaranteed hours do not include any "on-call" time worked. Psych RN needed for Danvers MA detox unit. 12-hour night shift, 36 hours/week. Weekends as needed. Detox program provides 24-hour nursing care to monitor an individual's withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs and alleviate symptoms. Clients are provided with the medical and emotional support that they need during one of the most pivotal stages in the recovery process.

Responsibilities are:

  • Records and reports all observed symptoms, reactions to treatments and changes in patients safety status
  • Administers medications to patients
  • Collaborates with team in providing health information and maintains clients' medical records
  • Responds to patient care needs/issues and assists patients with activities of daily living, promoting a positive therapeutic environment
  • Assists with the admitting, discharge and transfer process
  • Participates in treatment team meetings & assists with development of care plans

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Massachusetts licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current certification in CPR
  • Experience with addiction treatment services preferred, but not required
  • Local and travel will be considered for this opening. Must be separated from BILH system for 6 months before returning - perm, per diem or travel.
