Pay: $35-$39/hour + Overnight Shift Differential

Make a Difference During the First Steps of Recovery

Freedom Detox, part of Pyramid Healthcare, is seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our PRN overnight team in Gastonia, NC.

This role plays a critical part in providing safe, supportive, and clinically appropriate care to individuals beginning their recovery journey from substance use disorders. Our nursing team helps stabilize clients through the detox process while delivering compassionate care in a structured behavioral health environment.

What You'll Do
  • Provide nursing care and support to clients throughout the detoxification process.

  • Complete nursing assessments for new admissions and ongoing client needs.

  • Administer medications and support withdrawal management protocols.

  • Perform and document COWS and CIWA assessments according to established protocols.

  • Monitor client health status and communicate changes to medical providers and clinical leadership.

  • Provide medication education and support clients in understanding their treatment plans.

  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure coordinated, quality care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Ensure medical equipment and supplies are maintained and available.

  • Follow all regulatory requirements, policies, and safety procedures.

  • Complete required trainings and maintain compliance standards.

  • Perform other nursing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN):

  • Current, active, and unencumbered RN license in North Carolina.

  • Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification.

  • Behavioral health, detox, addiction treatment, or psychiatric nursing experience preferred.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

  • Current, active, and unencumbered LPN license in North Carolina.

  • Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification.

  • Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, detox, or residential settings preferred.
