Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care within inpatient psychiatric and substance withdrawal treatment units
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, including medical, psychiatric, and detoxification evaluations
  • Administer prescribed medications while monitoring effectiveness and potential adverse reactions
  • Assess and document patients' physical condition, mental status, and behavioral changes
  • Respond effectively to psychiatric emergencies and assist with crisis intervention when necessary
  • Encourage therapeutic engagement while supporting treatment plans and patient recovery goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility, state, and regulatory standards
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide coordinated patient care

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
  • Active and unrestricted North Carolina Registered Nurse license
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • At least one year of recent inpatient nursing experience
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screenings, drug testing, credential verification, and competency assessments
