About This Role:

We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join our Team. This position is based in Canada and will cover Northern and Southern Canada and Alaska

In this role, you will drive revenue growth by promoting Det-Tronics fire and gas detection solutions, expanding market presence, and developing strategic customer relationships. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities, support channel partners and end users, and manage opportunities from initial engagement through proposal development.

Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, technical curiosity, and the ability to build trusted relationships across customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders. You will also provide valuable market intelligence, contribute to regional sales strategies, and support product and business development initiatives.

This position reports to the Regional Sales Director and works closely with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and other members of the global Team.

For more than 50 years, leading oil and gas companies have relied on Det-Tronics to provide innovative flame and gas detection solutions that help protect people, assets, and operations from fire, gas leaks, and related hazards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the technical capabilities and value of Det-Tronics products and solutions to key customers, end users, and channel partners.
  • Execute regional sales strategies to strengthen market presence and achieve growth objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, EPCs, contractors, consultants, and end users.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Create and execute account plans that support long-term profitable growth.
  • Manage sales opportunities from initial inquiry through proposal submission and order acquisition.
  • Partner with the estimation team to develop accurate quotations, proposals, and customer presentations.
  • Drive product specification and vendor approvals with targeted end users and key accounts.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activity, providing actionable market intelligence.
  • Support forecasting, promotional activities, trade shows, customer visits, and regional business planning.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting on sales activity, opportunities, quotations, and market developments.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, a technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.
