Job description

Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Automotive Detail Manager is to manage detail shop operations and customer relations.

Compensation: Salary plus commission and bonus

Responsibilities

  • Manage activities of the Detail Shop to ensure vehicles are detailed to and all work is performed in a timely manner and according to established quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Responsible for operation of administrative functions on a daily basis to enable maximum utilization of services.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Understand and deliver to the specific requirements of the customer.
  • Manage, motivate and train Detail Shop team.
  • Manage employee scheduling and workflow.
  • Purchase equipment, materials and supplies and oversee maintenance and protection of shop equipment.
  • Control the use of supplies, materials and equipment.
  • Provide and maintain safe work environment by training, monitoring and enforcing all safety procedures.
  • Counsel and discipline employees as necessary.
  • Effectively lead the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing OnSite Dealer Solutions values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.
  • Assist with the enforcement of all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
  • Keeps work area neat and clean.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • 1 year of automotive detail experience
  • 1 year of management experience
  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills necessary for interacting with employees, vendors and customers
