Job description

Description
The Detail-Grounds- Maintenance (DGM) will coordinate and clean the interior and exterior fleet vehicles, assist the mechanics, and maintain the organization of the shop area and surrounding grounds. This includes shoveling snow in the winter months and janitorial duties involving trash removal, vacuuming, and mopping the main building.

Qualifications:
To be considered for employment, you must possess the minimum qualifications for a DGM;

  • Current driver's license
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays is a must

Duties:
Average daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Prioritize the order in which vehicles are cleaned each day
  • Maintain company standards for detailing the interior and exterior of each vehicle
  • Keep the shop area neat and organized
  • Maintain inventory of shop supplies
  • Assist the Lead Fleet Mechanic with projects
  • Maintain a rotation schedule for specific fleet detailing items
  • Complete each fleet detail work order with efficiency and attention to detail
  • Maintain professionalism at all times
  • Able to be flexible with job duties
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the office bathrooms
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen area
  • Report to managers when something is broken or needs repair
  • Check the company-issued email box daily while on shift
  • Follow directions from the manager and or dispatch office regarding updates and schedule changes when and if needed
  • Review your work schedule weekly and initial next to your name
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Executes all terms and conditions as outlined in BAC Transportation's employee handbook

  • Must be able to communicate by telephone, and in person, in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner with all clients, vendors, staff, and co-workers
