Position: Assistant General Manager

Shift: Morning, Day, Holidays, and Weekends (Mandatory)
Starting Salary Range: $65,000 - 72,500 per year
Expected Hours: 45 - 55 per week
Supervisory: Collaboratively oversees operations of restaurant. Reports to General Manager

Position Summary:
The Assistant General Manager helps lead the heartbeat of our lively, high-vibe brunch destination, ensuring every shift, team member, and guest experience is set up for success. This role supports both front- and back-of-house operations, keeps service flowing smoothly, and maintains the high standards that define our brand. Responsibilities include coaching and developing the team, driving operational excellence, managing inventory and vendor needs, upholding safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring consistency in execution across all areas of the restaurant. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced, upbeat environment and brings a balance of organization, hospitality, and calm under pressure to keep the energy strong and the guest experience exceptional.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth, efficient, high-volume service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment across both FOH and BOH
  • Support the GM in executing brand standards, service flow, and operational procedures
  • Lead the floor during peak brunch rushes with urgency, visibility, and confidence

What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with a guest-first mindset
  • Experience managing both FOH and BOH operations, including service flow, staffing, and shift execution
  • Solid understanding of financial fundamentals, including labor management, cost control, and basic P&L awareness
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain composure during high-energy brunch rushes
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on consistency, cleanliness, and operational excellence
  • Hands-on leadership style-comfortable jumping in wherever needed to support the team
  • Working knowledge of POS systems scheduling platforms, and operational reporting, (preferably Toast & R365),
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards with the ability to enforce compliance
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods
  • A passion for hospitality, team culture, and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Strong understanding of health regulations (OSHA and State Health Departments).
  • Required certifications ServSafe Manager's Certification and California Responsible Beverage Service
