SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
This position will augment our full and part time staff to support our PC / LAN environment at York Technical College. Depending on experience, there may be
opportunities to also work within our Windows server arena.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide Desktop support for Faculty/staff on our main campus and satellite centers for Apple MACs, Windows PC's, laptops, printers, ipads, tablets pcs, and
other mobile devices.
* Assist with PC deployments. Protect and secure user data wile deploying pcs.
* Provide support to the Helpdesk as a member of the team
* Assist with installation of workgroup network devices (switches, cabling, wireless AP)
* Assist in supporting IT Infrastructure
* Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting Windows operating systems in a client/server environment
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot computer and network problems
Strong customer service skills
ABILITY TO DRIVE AND TRAVEL TO SATELLITE CENTERS IN INDIAN LAND SC AND CHESTER SC TO PROVIDE SUPPORT
PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
EXPERIENCE PROVIDING TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO PC USERS IN AN ENTERPRISE ENVIRONMENT
EXPERIENCE BACKING UP USER FILES, IMAGING PCS, AND RESTORING DATA
NETWORKING EXPERIENCE INSTALLING AND MAINTAINING WORKGROUP LEVEL EQUIPMENT SUCH AS CABLING, SWITCHES, AND AP'S
REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: -
Associate degree in Computer Science or Electronics Technology
PREFERRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: A+, Net+, CCNA, Microsoft Certifications
