Deskside Services (Tier 2) Manager
(Rockville, MD) Position Overview The Deskside Services (Tier 2) Manager directs enterprise deskside support operations for headquarters, regional offices, and remote users. The manager oversees hardware deployment, desktop support, endpoint imaging, asset management, and customer-facing technical services while ensuring reliable, responsive support and compliance with agencies operational standards and Service Level Requirements (SLRs). Estimated Salary: Up to $260K Key Responsibilities Lead Tier 2 Deskside Services supporting desktop, laptop, mobile device, peripheral, and workstation operations.
Manage hardware deployment, endpoint imaging, software installation, asset management, and technology refresh activities.
Oversee deskside incident resolution, VIP support, equipment moves, depot services, and regional office support.
Ensure compliance with Service Level Requirements (SLRs), operational procedures, and ITIL service management practices.
Coordinate field technicians, workload distribution, customer communications, and operational reporting.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
ITIL v4 Foundation certification preferred.
Minimum five (5) years managing enterprise desktop support or End User Computing operations.
Experience leading hardware deployment, endpoint management, imaging, and asset lifecycle programs.
Knowledge of Microsoft endpoint technologies, desktop operations, and Federal IT support environments.
