Job description

Class Description The purpose of this class is to provide professional level interpretation services to assigned department or program Minimum Requirements National Certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and a minimum of three years' experience working as a professional sign language interpreter. These positions are located on the Catonsville and Essex campuses Class Specific Essential Duties Serve as designated interpreter to full-time deaf faculty. Interpret at annual college events.

Interpret for college courses taught by deaf faculty. Interpret for deaf faculty at committee meetings. Interpret for deaf faculty at ad-hoc meetings.

Keep track of all hours and schedule. Team effectively with an agency interpreter when needed. Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive.

There will be other duties as assigned.
