JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
  • Design foundry tooling in Creo software using standards in place and best practices for No-bake molding process with the objective to improve quality and reduce lead time on tooling construction

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • RFQ tooling, Design New Pattern Tooling, resolve casting issues, Re-gate, Simulate, all other tasks as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Years of experience: 5 years of relevant experiences
  • Degree requirement: Associate or Bachelor.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Foundry Engineer Experience. (Tools Quotation, Casting Scrap defects analysis & resolution, Foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process)
  • Foundry tooling Design Experience. (Pattern and core boxes, Complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of P/L, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process)
  • Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using SolidCast
  • Strong CAD skills (Creo prefers)
  • Machining print reading and geometric tolerance understanding
  • Casting simulation experiences (SolidCast prefers)

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • CNC milling knowledge
